Valentine’s Day isn’t just for couples and close friends. Kids want to get in on the special day too! My mom always made sure I had a Valentine’s Day gift sent to my school every year and it made me feel special. I’ve made it easy for you this year. These are my top 5 kid-approved Valentines Day Gifts.
Lush Bath Bombs
All bath bombs weren’t created equally. My entire family loves to use Lush bath bombs because they take you on a spa-like journey in your own bathtub. My son has used their Ickle Baby Bot bomb since he was about 4 months old. It is packed with lavender, sandalwood, and chamomile essential oils. These oils will help soothe and relax your child before bed. Lush has a ton of bath bombs to choose from and they are all the bomb. Get it? Ok never mind. Make sure you grab a couple for yourself and your significant other too!
Z Dough
ZDough will always be one of my favorite things to buy as a gift. Who doesn’t love play dough? Ages 2 and up will enjoy this homemade play dough that is made from household ingredients. Naturally scented with essential oils, spices, and baking flavorings, ZDough is guaranteed to spice up playtime.
New Books
Reading is important to a child’s development no matter how old they are. Every chance I get I am looking for a new book to add to my son’s collection. I normally look for books to go with the upcoming holiday or a sensory book to take on vacation. Here are a few Valentine’s Day books I’ve picked out.
Happy Valentine’s Day Mouse! By Laura Numeroff
I Love My Michigan Valentine. By Marianne Richmond
Happy Valentine’s Day Curious George By H. A. Rey
Happy Valentine’s Day, Little Critter! By Mercer Mayer
Healthy Treat or Sweet Treat
I don’t give my son sweets often but he does like them. I believe sweets are okay in moderation. Myan loves grapes and popcorn so normally a bag of Angie’s BOOMCHICKAPOP will put a smile on his face. Pinterest is a great tool for finding ways to make your child’s favorite snack into a cute piece of art. For example, these applesauce juice-box robots are adorable and you can leave a cute note as an extra personal touch.
Balloons and Stuffed Animal
This is a classic gift that you can never go wrong with. My son loves balloons and stuffed animals. Since he loves animals, I try to get a different animal each time so that he can have a mini zoo at home. At his age, he thinks balloons are super cool balls that fly so who am I to interfere with his fun.
I hope this list helps you decide what to get your little ones for Valentines Day. Remember to spread love every day of the year! xoxo
