Shoutout to my friend Shonda for introducing me to CJ’s Butter back in 2012 when she had her first son. I fell in love with the product solely based off of the blueberry crumble scent. Then Shonda shared that her son never had a diaper rash because of it and I was sold. I know firsthand from being an infant teacher how cranky babies and toddlers can get from having a diaper rash. Why risk it when we’ve found the solution? From then on I knew I would be using CJ’s Butter for my child.
Myan has been using CJ’s Butter since I brought him home from the hospital and he has NEVER had a diaper rash. Even after a week of diarrhea from antibiotics. I’m pretty sure this is some kind of world record.
My Diaper Rash Prevention Recipe
Along with the use of CJ’s Butter, I believe a few other things are important factors in keeping the diaper rashes away.
1. WaterWipes (see What’s In Your Wipes?)
2. Frequent diaper changes. I’ve always tried to change Myan as soon as I notice he has a wet diaper. We’ve gone through a ton of diapers but it has been worth it. Who would want to sit in a wet diaper?
3. Natural Diapers I’ve probably tried every single natural diaper on the market so I’ll only give you my top 3. Honest Company, Bamboo Nature, and Up & Up (Target brand) all work great for my son. It was really important for me to have a diaper without chemicals since my baby would be in them for a few years.
Back To CJ’s Butter…
This stuff is magical and even after my son is potty trained I will continue to use it for other things. I use it for myself just as much as I use it on my son. There is a long list of issues CJ’s Butter can help with. Eczema, bug bites, hemorrhoids (works wonders), dry skin, severe diaper rash, scars, and split ends are just a few of the many things this magic in a jar can conquer.
Did I mention that it smells amazing? They do make unscented for those that are extra sensitive. I normally keep a jar of the butter but I’ve also recently fallen in love with their spritz. The spritz is just their liquid form of the butter. I think it’s easier to use with diaper changes and traveling so I make sure I keep one in the diaper bag. I also use it as a leave-in conditioner in Myan’s hair.
I’ve recommended this cream to so many friends (and strangers) because it really is that good. Now that I’ve seen firsthand what it can do I’m even more excited about it. If you try it out let me know in the comments below how you like it!
