Grandparents, aunts, and uncles love receiving homemade treats from your little ones. Just in case you’ve forgotten to pick up something or you just want to add an extra special touch, here are a few DIY ideas you can do with your kids.
Homemade Treats
Even at 19 months old my son loves to help me cook. Making Christmas cookies is a great activity for all ages and they make awesome gifts. My son helped my mom mix the cookie dough and decorate a batch of cookies with sprinkles. They even left a few in the mailbox for the mail lady to enjoy.
Keepsakes
Myan also enjoys painting and my parents love receiving his artwork as gifts. We found some small canvases a few months ago and I let him paint them as our activity for the day. I sealed them with mod podge and have been waiting for Christmas to hand them out. If you don’t have canvases you can use almost anything to make a special keepsake. Let your little one paint some paper and put it in a nice picture frame or pick up a ceramic dish for them to decorate.
Merry Christmas!!
