Valentine’s Day is in a few days and if you haven’t done any shopping yet I am guessing you need a little help. That’s why you’re here right? Here are a few ideas that range in budget and creativity.
Gift Cards
Instead of throwing money in a card take the time to think about your significant other’s favorite stores. Some people don’t like gift cards, but I’m not one of those people (hint hint). I can be indecisive so if your significant other is like me this gives them the time to shop around or browse until they find what they really want.
Jewelry
A lot of jewelry stores, Etsy shops, and other small businesses are really pushing jewelry orders out around this time of year. They already know there is going to be someone that didn’t start planning Valentine’s Day before Christmas was over. Let’s face it, February sneaks up on us very fast and before you know it you’re googling last-minute gift ideas. 🤣 Check out GLDN for some great quality custom pieces.
Dinner Date
Some restaurants don’t do reservations but a lot of them still do. That’s your job to figure out your local options. I would personally opt for a dine-in movie theater. They typically have a full menu and bar so you can order while enjoying a movie. Two birds, one stone. You’re welcome.
Get A Room
Be spontaneous! You can get a room for a night, order room service, watch movies, and whatever else your heart desires. 😉 HotelTonight has great deals and you can literally book it in advance or the night of. Milan and I have taken an impromptu trip to the beach and I literally booked our hotel on our way there. Use code VSTATON for $25 off your first booking! (I have used this app since 2011)
Just Be THOUGHTFUL
You don’t have to spend a lot of money or any money at all on Valentine’s Day. If you’re on a budget get creative and use what you have to make it special. You can make love letters and hide them around the house, cook a favorite dinner, give a massage, or have an in-home movie night. Just remember to toss the devices and be present. It really is the thought that counts.
The bottom line is… LIFE IS SHORT. Gifts are great but memories are even better. Show the people that you love how much you love and appreciate them daily. Not just on Valentine’s Day. Xoxo
