The last few months have been crazy for the Lee family. We moved across the country to the Carolinas and bought a house! I’m so happy to be back home where the majority of our family and friends live. In the last 2 years, we’ve lived in 4 states. Myan just turned 2 in May so let that sink in for a moment.
I would love to say that our move was a breeze but that would be a lie. Our move to Texas and Washington was a lot easier than this last move back home. This time around we had to set up transportation for Louie (our husky), transport our cars, hire movers, setup flights and secure a place to live in less than a month. My head is spinning just thinking about it again.
As we were looking for apartments we realized the cost of living had gone up significantly since we left. I prayed about it and God told me to look at houses. At first, we didn’t think there was a chance we could find a house online and close in time for our move. We had one month to get a lot of tasks done from our to-do list and adding “buy a house” seemed impossible.
Sometimes you just have to listen and be obedient because clearly, it worked out in our favor. We closed on our first house about two weeks after the move which wasn’t bad at all. It’s still almost surreal how things just fell into place for us and I am forever grateful.
Louie’s transport took 22 days to get him here which was a blessing in disguise. We didn’t have to worry about boarding him since our house was ready by the time he finished his cross country road trip. A lot of our stuff was damaged by the movers but our cars made it intact so I won’t dwell on the negatives.
I’m beyond excited about the endless memories that will be made in our new home and I can’t wait to share our style and how we make it our own. It took a lot to get here but we made it and it was all worth it.
